Mike is a real estate professional with over thirty years of experience in real estate management, sales, and land development. During his career, Mike has acquired and marketed land for shopping centres; office buildings; industrial parks; single, and multi-family residential developments; and agricultural enterprises.
He has represented numerous public and private sector clients in their acquisition and/or sale of real estate, including: B.C. Hydro, B.C. Transit, Richmond School District, B.C. Rail, CP Rail Properties, Salvation Army Council of Canada, International Forest Products, Georgetown University, MacMillan Bloedel (Weyerheuser), Shell Canada, Cadillac Fairview, and Imperial Oil.
In addition to traditional commercial and industrial real estate, Mike has participated in many unique property transactions including large and historic ranches; forestry and agricultural portfolios; wineries and vineyards; institutional properties; heritage buildings, and Park land acquisitions for the Provincial and Federal governments. This experience has given him specialized knowledge regarding water rights, Crown grazing licenses, easements and right-of-ways, timber contracts, heritage bylaws, conservation covenants, archaeological and native cultural issues.
Mike is a past Director of the IC&I Division of the Vancouver Real Estate Board, the Richmond Advisory Planning Committee, the Heritage Advisory Committee, and the Business Economic Advisory Committee for the City of Richmond.
Prior to joining Macdonald Commercial, Mike was a senior executive Broker at a national real estate company in Vancouver and a founding partner in Landquest Realty, specializing in farms, ranches, forestry, and recreational property sales throughout BC.
